Worn to: work, bonus Type Tuesday

Thoughts:I’ve been thinking about how to revise this formula for spring/summer; simply swapping some of the black for white or gray may be enough, but obviously the tall boots component won’t work. I’ll have to experiment with it and post an updated outfit and formula once it warms up!
I also took some photos during the stages of this outfit, and have a fun post that breaks down how to build this type of outfit that I’ll get up later today.
Behind the outfit:Today I needed something that was smart and sharp looking (Type Tuesday gatherings are business, after all), but comfortable enough for sitting at a pub for a few hours. So I decided to use the black, leopard, and camel formula I first posted back in November, with the boots swapped for heels. This is because 1) it’s not quite as cold anymore, 2) they look dressier than my black boots, and 3) the charcoal color is a bit softer and picks up on the gray in the sweater. Also, I think the extra peeks of skin helped to lighten the look up a little, as do the gray stripes.
Have to say I love this outfit formula, even though I didn’t wear it as often as I expected to. I’m going to need to buy a lighter, breezier leopard scarf for when the weather warms up!
